LUXURI, LLC, the brand has now expanded. S.D. LUXURI, LLC, now provides a Beauty Concierge, Production Studio and Management Group. S.D. LUXURI would like to announce the arrival of a “new woman”.

 

Shanai Dominique’s passion for the art of hair and make-up began at a very young tender age. She enrolled in the cosmetology program offered through South Side High School in Fort Wayne, IN and became the shampoo assistant to Vickie Williams of Headlines Hair Studio at the age of 16. After she graduated, Shanai Dominique’s love for the art, hunger for knowledge, and quest for professional excellence and a mentor (Dondra Campbell) who believed she would do great things, enabled her to matriculate into Dudley’s Cosmetology University  in North Carolina.

After completing her program at DCU, Shanai continued her work and building her awesome rapport with the women in her community working at different major salons in Fort Wayne, IN such as The Garden (Marie Sims), Aminah Rosa Salon(Aminah Rosa), Expectations Salon, and Serenity Salon & Spa(Kenyatta Williams).

Then things began to shift for Shanai, when she married and birthed her first child at the tender age of 20. She continued working in her respective field. Being married and caring for now two small beautiful baby boys (Nathaniel & Nasir), Shanai’s former husband had joined the military and had news that they would be stationed on the greatislandofHawaii. Shanai thought she was exactly where she was supposed to be in life. In December of 2008, as she was preparing to make the big move, little did she know, but her world was about to take a major blow.

Shanai discovered infidelity in her marriage, and was served divorce papers. Shanai finally got the revelation that if a man wishes not to dwell with you, let him go. After attempts to fix what she had not broken she did just that, and On January 5th, 2009, Shanai had her divorce decree in hand. During this time in her life, Shanai felt as if she were living out a Lifetime Original Movie, but in reality things were becoming all too real. During this period, Shanai went into a slight state of depression only witnessed by her immediate family. Shanai was taught from childbirth you never wear your struggles on your face. She began to grow closer and closer with her parents (Mark & Sharon Turner) and God. She knew He was the only one who could pull her out of her funk. She also occupied her extra time by joining the NBA D- League’s Fort Wayneteam’s dance squad called the Madame Ants (Sheenah Johnson).

Shanai Dominique all the while was still working her craft, but knew if she was to continue she needed new scenery. Where she was at, just couldn’t hold the kind of growth she was looking to achieve. Months later, Shanai set out on faith and headed to the great peach state of Georgia and settled in to the major city of Atlanta. Shanai dug right in, testing into her first salon (Alres Salon). She built her clientele right away, setting consistent hours for herself and creating looks for her clients that were woman-made but God-inspired. She continued to build in her faith as she attended WCCI under the pastorship of Dr. Creflo Dollar & Taffi Dollar. Months later, Shanai moved to a suburb in Atlanta called Lithia Springs and began working in Tonya & Joe Chesnut’s salon called Stylistics. Because she created God-inspired styles to her Atlanta clientele, they followed Shanai no matter the distance.

In August 2010, Shanai Dominique featured her make-up artistry in the 2010 Bronner Bothers Hair show as the MUA for H2Pro. She was the stylist for The Leading Ladies Spectacular 2010 and 2011 and lead stylist for local companies, such as Omyrah & Posh Boutique and Corporate Environments, Inc. But the most fulfilling work for Dominique is her humanitarian work in which she volunteers her services for a good cause. In 2005 Shanai along with the help of stylists form the Aminah Rosa Salon where she rented a suite, performed beauty services to young female wards of the state of Indiana. The ladies spent the day at the salon being pampered, eating and receiving gifts as part of theHolidayevents. The “Mo’Nique Show” honored her in 2011 for volunteering at My Sisters Keeper Women’s Shelter.

Shanai Dominique’s accomplishments did not end there. Not only is Shanai Dominique a West Georgia preferred vendor for Atlanta Bridal, but she has also been recognized for her quality of work and excellent customer service in print and local on-line publications including, Alykjuan Hairco, The HighUp, Imprint Magazine, Curve Appeal Culture and Gemini, Jet Set and Brides-Atlanta. Her accomplishments have permitted her to be featured in one the most influential African-American magazines, Essence.

Shanai knew she was built for more almost 2 years after relocating toGeorgia, and building her reputation in the beauty, entertainment and fashion industries. Shanai was offered the opportunity that changed her world when she was given her first six figure contract managing photo shoots for a major Fortune 500 talent agency for the southern region which included the states of FL, TN, SC, NC, AL, MS. Shanai then opened up her production studio called S.D. LUXURI STUDIO, located in West Midtown Atlanta art & warehouse district.

After witnessing inconsistencies, flat out lies and greed in the talent management industries, Shanai and her momager Sharon decided to create another branch to the Luxuri Empire, which led to the launch of S.D. LUXURI MANAGEMENT GROUP, LLC. The clients that they had encountered lacked poise, discipline, set etiquette and the proper representation. That’s where SDLMG, LLC. came into play! We get you CURRENT. Shanai Dominique’s 9 years of experience as a stylist, continuing education, and inspiration from a diverse group of sources are obvious in her work. She is a firm believer of staying current and certified in new cutting edge techniques, procedures and technologies, which allow her to provide practical and personalized solutions to her clients in attempts to positively affect their overall self-esteem.
